Creating a brand for Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton was an incredible honor and an opportunity. Central to the brand’s identity was the adaptation of an iconic representation of Illinois, reimagined to convey the idea of “flowing together.” This symbol captures the essence of unity and collaboration that that is brand needs to inspire.

Tying this together with the colors of Chicago and Illinois allowed the design to resonate deeply with the communities she serves. The color palette—light blue, orange, and yellow— was carefully chosen to embody the core values of the Lieutenant Governor’s mission. Each hue carries a distinct meaning, supporting the brand’s ability to evoke optimism, honesty and inclusivity. This thoughtful combination of elements resulted in a cohesive visual identity.
