There are moments when you read something and feel truly seen.
The 2025 Curatorial Forum Research Fellow Report, written by Wisdom Baty and
A. Martinez, is one of those moments. Beautifully written, thoughtful and deeply reflective, the report captures the work being created through WILD YAMS. Celebrating all of the elements of the community that makes it possible.
Reading the article reminded me that this journey has always been about more than making art. It has been about building relationships and asking difficult questions. Supporting one another and creating space for Black mothers and caregivers to return to their creative practices with intention and care.
I am incredibly proud to be part of this cohort.
Congratulations to my fellow cohort members. Your creativity, vulnerability, and commitment continue to inspire me every day. I am proud to be on this journey with you, and I can't wait to see how each of our practices continues to grow.
